Our story.

Smithfield Valley Soaps was first a hobby and now, it’s currently developing into a small business.

I love to create, craft, and learn new things. Last year, I found myself looking for a new creative venue. Well, I watched videos, read a huge book, and finally ordered some supplies… and I waited, and waited, and waited for those supplies thanks to the pandemic just beginning at the same exact time.

The order finally arrived and well, the rest is a blur of fun with the kids, creative new ideas, more videos, learning experiences, fragrances, oils, gifts, numerous pictures, lots of bubbles, and here we are. I have since taken over the kids playroom, but lets face it.. they have taken over my house. So, its a fair trade.

I am looking to make this Smithfield Valley Soaps into a project that can help keep my sanity during these unknown times of virtual learning, mom life, and home life.

My thought is that “If it puts a smile on your face and suds in your hands.. my goal has been accomplished”.

Our farm.

We are located in the picturesque Smithfield Valley, NY. Our Guernsey and Holstein cows create the wonderful milk which I use in my soaps. The farm was established in 1953 and is currently in its third generation of owners with the fourth generation still climbing on hay bales, helping feed calves or riding in tractors with their Dad or Grampy. I was so blessed to be able to marry into this lovely farm family. You can see the dedication they have for the farm, the animals, their land and their families. They are always working and improving on ways to keep the animals, land, family, & relationships healthy for the futures of all of them.
